Where will the campers be lodging during the camp sessions?

-          This summer we have partnered with the Holiday Inn Express and Suites.  The address is 1251 Silhavy Road, Valparaiso IN 46385.  All room assignments and reservations are determined prior to the start of camp; no reservations need to be made by individual families.  If a camper has a roommate request, he should indicate that on his registration form (www.valposoccervip.com/mens/camps.cfm).

What do I need to bring?

-          Campers should bring athletic clothing including black shorts, white socks, and at least two t-shirts that are primarily white.  Campers will be provided with training tops to wear at most sessions.  They should also bring any toiletries and personal items which they will need.  Bedding, linens, towels, and basic hotel items are provided by the host hotel.

Who will be on staff at the camp?

-          The staff will include current VU men’s soccer staff as well as other collegiate head or assistant coaches.  Past staff members have included: Chad Riley (Notre Dame), David Bokhart (St. Joseph’s College), Roberto Giannini (Wabash College).  Current VU men's soccer players also provide assistance throughout the week.

Will athletic trainers be available during camp?

-          Yes, there will be a certified athletic trainer at every field session.  Any injuries or treatment needs should be reported to the athletic trainer on or before the first practice session.

What does a typical day look like?

-          The sample schedule can be found by visiting:

Can I purchase additional VU men’s soccer gear?

-          Yes, at the beginning and end of each camp we will have various VU men’s soccer gear for sale.  Cash or checks are accepted.

Where are the sessions held in case of inclement weather?

-          Camp will continue in the rain.  However, if lightning, thunder, or excessive heat make conditions unplayable, we will move the camp into our indoor arena.  Inside, we often compete in futsal tournaments or focus on technical work using Brazilian juggling balls.  The athletic training staff, coaching staff, and facility manager will all make decisions that reflect our concern for the safety and enjoyment of the campers.
