Valparaiso Identification Program (VIP):

An alternative to the customary soccer camp experience, the Spring Valpo Soccer VIP camps offer the serious male high school, or post-high school soccer athlete a focused curriculum designed to assist them as they engage in the college search process. The Valpo Soccer VIP schedule is thoughtfully constructed to maximize the overall experience while purposely not detracting from an already busy club soccer schedule.

The Day Camp will allow an opportunity for soccer athletes to come to the Valparaiso University campus, meet and work directly with the Valpo coaching staff, and enjoy the Valpo Soccer VIP camp experience in a single day.

Valpo Soccer VIP players will be exposed to high level technical and tactical training presented by current collegiate head and assistant coaches. These training sessions will expose the VIP player to a college level performance expectation, and will provide the VIP staff an opportunity to evaluate the player's college soccer potential. 

Valpo Soccer VIP's will also attend seminars and discussion groups that cover a variety of topics related to life as a college athlete, personal development, sport psychology, and the college search process. The combination of on the field and off the field instruction effectively immerses the participants in an environment that simulates the typical routine of a college athlete.

The VIP curriculum is designed for any high school players who are very serious about playing at elite levels of competition . Space in the Spring VIP Day Camps is limited to ensure that each player receives individual attention to his particular college search and is provided with immediate feedback before leaving campus.  Prompt registration is recommended to ensure a spot.

Are you a GOALKEEPER interested in the VIP Camp experience?

At both the VIP Day and Overnight Camps we offer goalkeeper specific, functional training which will be conducted by Valparaiso Unviversity Men's Soccer Goalkeeper Coach, Jeff Oleck.  Coach Oleck will lead goalkeepers through individual technical training and small group tactical training in order to provide a position-specific experience for VIP Camp goalkeepers.

Training topics will include, but not be limited to, advanced handling, aerial situations (crosses and through balls), 1v1 breakaway scenarios, distribution with both hands and feet, and tactical leadership from the goalkeeper position.

Through the VIP Goalkeeper curriculum, our goal is to enhance the participants ability in the goal as well as gain an understanding for what goalkeepers will be required to do at the "next level".  Should you have questions about the goalkeeper training, please contact Asst. Coach Jeff Oleck.
